Over the years, numerous rope lovers from around the world have benefited from private tuition at the Osada Kinbaku Dojo in Tokyo.
While on the surface Shibari/Kinbaku may appear an awfully complicated craft to master, the individual techniques can actually be broken down into distinct building blocks.
To this end students are essentially taught Osada ryu; hands-on tying techniques drawn from established Kinbaku dynasties.
Fees
$100/hour for instruction
$50/hour for model (or provide your own model)

Osada ryu Intensives Abroad*
As the carbon footprint (and expenditure) of one person traveling is smaller than several people flying to Tokyo, you are welcome to pool the financial resources of a select number of serious students who wish to receive high-level instruction by Osada Steve closer to home. Starter package: 40 hours of one-on-one lessons plus travel and other expenses.
Workshops
The level of instruction is not targeted towards beginners. As such, there are no plans to join the circuit of “fun” seminars teaching basics to large audiences.
